ASSAULT, THREATS AND STOLEN VEHICLE

Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating two occurrences that they believe were committed by the same person.

Early Saturday morning, at about 3:00 a.m. a Heyden man was in the basement of a Brichgrove Rd home with two other people when a second man entered the house and assaulted the first man. The two subjects were known to each other. The reason for the assault is unknown at this time.

The victim of the assault suffered some noticeable facial injuries but did not require medical treatment.

On Sunday at about 10:00 p.m. the same man attended a house on Cedar Court in Heyden. Several threats were made to some of the occupants of the home. The suspect then took a vehicle that belonged to the owner of the house. The vehicle was returned a short time later and the suspect fled the scene. A search of the area by police was not successful in locating the man
