MALES CHARGED FOR TRESPASSING AT NIGHT

(Blind River, ON.) – On June 14th 2009 around 3:30 a.m. East Algoma OPP in Blind River received a complaint of two males going into people’s yards and searching through vehicles on Rousseau Street in Blind River. Officers attended the area and located the two males still in the area. Both males were intoxicated and arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. As a result of the officers investigation the two males were charged. Charged are 22 year old Brock FRISKE of Blind River and 21 year old Thomas Vital HAYES of Lively. Both males have been charged with being intoxicated in a public place section 31(4) of the Liquor Licence Act and Trespass by Night contrary to section 177 of the Criminal Code. FRISKE and HAYES are scheduled to appear in Blind River court on September 3rd 2009.

VEHICLE STOP RESULTS IN IMPAIRED CHARGE

(Blind River, ON.) – On June 13th at 10:00 p.m. a member of East Algoma OPP Blind River was eastbound on highway 17 in the Blind River area when he came upon a 1992 Ford pickup truck driving in an erratic manner. The truck was followed for a short while and was having difficulty staying in the marked lane. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as 54 year old Richard TURGEON of Azilda Ontario. TURGEON failed the roadside test and was brought to the Blind River OPP detachment where he failed the breaths tests also. As a result TURGEON had been charged with impaired driving. He is scheduled to appear in Blind River court on August 6th, 2009.
