Stunt driving
TILLEY TOWNSHIP – On July 19, 2015 at approximately 2 a.m. Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting stationary radar on Highway 17 north. A pick-up truck traveling northbound was clocked on radar with a speed in excess of 50 km/hr over the posted 90 km/hr speed limit.
The driver, Robert RIVARD, 52 years, of Goulais Township was charged for Stunt Driving-excessive speed as per section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The driver also received a seven day administrative driver’s licence suspension (ADLS) and the vehicle was seized for seven days and towed to a Motor Vehicle Impoundment site.
The accused was issued a summons to appear in Provincial Offences Court in Sault Ste. Marie on August 12, 2015.

Break and enter
An air gun was also stolen along with a camouflage hunting backpack containing a set of binoculars and a hatchet.
