LAST THREE DAYS TO DROP OFF YOUR BOOK DONATIONS

Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

The response to the Lieutenant Governor’s book drive for gently used or new children’s and youth books has far exceeded the expectations around the Sault Ste Marie area. If you and your group or organization is still collecting books for the Lieutenant Governor’s First Nation Book drive, you have three days left to get them to the Sault Ste Marie OPP office.

Boxes of donated books have quickly filled up the storage area at the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment and we are now storing books at a second location at the OPP complex on Great Northern Road.

Sault Ste Marie OPP would like to advise anyone with any outstanding donations that the book drive ends on Wednesday 31 January 2007. Smaller donations from individuals can be dropped off inside the front door of the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment 24 hours a day. Anyone with larger donations is requested to call the Sault Ste Marie OPP, up to Wednesday afternoon, to make arrangements for the storage facility to be opened and available for your donation.

Arrangements for the delivery of larger donations can be made by leaving a message for Cst. Bill Mackan at the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment. You can call the Sault Ste Marie OPP at 945-6833 or 1-888-310-1122 and asking for Cst. Bill Mackan at the Sault Ste Marie Detachment.
