Tools Stolen (Blind River, Ont.) On Friday evening an employee at the Blind River Memorial Arena reported that a quantity of tools had gone missing from the premises.

(Blind River, Ont.) On Friday evening an employee at the Blind River Memorial Arena reported that a quantity of tools had gone missing from the premises.
The tools had not been used for about one month and were discovered missing when they were needed.

The tools were a complete drill set contained in a box. They were valued at approximately $1000 when new.

Break and Enter

(Thessalon Twp, Ontario) On April 14, 2005 the East Algoma OPP were advised of a break and enter in the Feltham Road area, in Thessalon Township. Stolen was a battery charger on wheels valued at $225.00.

Break, Enter And Mischief To Summer Trailers

(Hilton Beach, Ontario) During the month of April 2005, many citizens have been returning to their summer trailers to find that they have been broken into or damaged.

The East Algoma OPP were first advised in early April of the break, enter and mischief’s at a trailer park located in Hilton Beach. Six trailers received minor damage to doors as culprits attempted to gain entry. One trailer was entered but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

On April 14, 2005 the East Algoma OPP were contacted once again by another trailer owner to report that their trailer had been entered over the winter months and a television was stolen.

Car Moose Collision

Heyden, Ont., One person was taken to Sault and Area Hospital by ambulance after hitting a moose on Hwy 17 in Heyden.

Last night at about 9:30 p.m. the vehicle was southbound on Hwy 17 at the bottom of the Mile Hill when a moose walked into the path of the vehicle. The driver of the car was unable to avoid the collision and struck the moose. The vehicle has significant damage to the entire vehicle and the driver suffered minor injuries.

She was transported to Sault and Area Hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was blocking both southbound lanes and had to be towed from the scene. The moose had to be put down. Sixty three year old Annette GREEN of Goulais River was transported to Sault and Area Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.


Windows Smashed

Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a home on Green Acres Drive in Heyden early Saturday morning after windows in a home and on a vehicle in the area were smashed.

At about 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning a group of people came to the house and broke several windows on the house and a truck parked at the home. Investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made yet. Anyone with information on this occurrence is asked to call Crime Stoppers or Sault Ste Marie OPP
