WEAPONS AND AMMUNITION SEIZED

A 63-year-old Heyden man was arrested and a large amount of ammunition, weapons and firearm parts were seized as a result of an ongoing Joint Forces Police investigation.
Yesterday, officers raided a Heyden home and arrested the owner on numerous criminal charges. Members of the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Sault O.P.P., conducted the raid just after noon yesterday.
The Provincial Weapons Enforcement unit is comprised on numerous police agencies and several branches of the Attorney General's office that work with local police across the province.
Robert Palanuk, age 63, of Heyden faces numerous firearms charges.
