TWO VEHICLE CRASH RESULT IN IMPAIRED CHARGE

(Garden River First Nation, Ont.) Two male drivers were taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries as a result of a two car collision that occurred on Hwy 17 just east of the Root River, Garden River First Nation. One driver has since been released from the hospital. There were no passengers in either vehicle. As a result, one driver has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80, and it is anticipated that further charges will be laid.

This morning at around 4:00 a.m., two vehicles, an eastbound Mustang and a westbound Neon collided. A Bell Canada pole was also damaged requiring Bell Canada to attend. The highway had to be closed for over three hours.

The accident is still under investigation by members of the Sault Ste Marie OPP Detachment.

Local Hunter Located

(Wawa, Ontario) On Wednesday October 10th Superior East OPP, Wawa were notified of a missing hunter from the Dubreuilville area .

45 year old Scott Montgomery of Dubreuilville Ontario left his hunting stand to venture into the bush when he encountered some difficulties. Montgomery had to spend the night in the bush after making a fire for survival.
At 11:30 pm Wednesday, O.P.P were called after Montgomery failed to return home. Members of the Superior East Wawa O.P.P along with members of the Sault Ste. Marie Emergency Response Unit and O.P.P Helicopter assisted with the search.

At 10:20 am Thursday October 11th Scott Montgomery was located and was found to be in good health.
