MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT (LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – On October 10, 2013 members of Manitoulin Island Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into a reported sexual assault which occurred in Little Current on October 9, 2013.

(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – On October 10, 2013 members of Manitoulin Island Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into a reported sexual assault which occurred in Little Current on October 9, 2013.

As a result of assistance received from the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) Unit, the OPP has arrested and charged a 27 year old male from Little Current with one count of sexual assault and one count of assault contrary to the Criminal Code.

 

The male is currently in custody, awaiting a bail hearing in Gore Bay later today.  The OPP will not be releasing his name in order to protect the identity of the victim.   

CRIME SPREE COMES TO AN END 

(WEBBWOOD, ON.) – Between October 8th and October 10th, 2013, members of the Espanola OPP conducted several theft and break and enter investigations in the Town of Webbwood.  A business and a number of apartments and sheds were broken in to.

Officers identified and arrested the persons responsible for the offences. 

Charged are:

  • Tony LIVELY (18) of Nairn-Hyman Township- 4 counts of Possession of Stolen Property,  3 counts of Break Enter and Commit Indictable Offence, 1 Breach of Undertaking.
  • Tyana SANDIFORD (19) of Webbwood – 1 count Breach of Recognizance.
  • One young person, who cannot be named, 3 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, 3 counts of Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence.

The three will appear in Espanola Court to answer to the charges.
