(Pancake Bay, Ont.) Officers from the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment have just arrived on the scene of a tractor trailer in the ditch near Pancake Bay.

At about 8:10 a.m. this morning police received a report of the truck in north bound ditch of Hwy 17 between the Hilltop Motel and the Pancake River Bridge. So far there is no report of any injuries and the truck is in an upright position. Motorist in the area should expect lane reductions and possible intermittent highway closures in the area as crews work to remove the rig.

YOU KNOW IT’S BAD OUT THERE WHEN ….

(Garden River First Nation, Ont.) Anishinabek Police and OPP were called to a snow plow in the ditch last night on Hwy 17 in Garden River.

At about 6:30 p.m. last night a snow plow was traveling on the new section of Hwy 17 in Garden River. The plow went off the roadway and ended up in the median of the highway. There was no damage to the plow and the driver was not injured. It was eventually removed from the middle of the two roadways and continued on plowing.
