One In Custody After Two Women Assaulted

Goulais River, Ont. One man is in police custody this morning after two women were assaulted at a Goulais River home last night.

At about 9:00 p.m. last night officers were called to a home on Pine Shores Road in Goulais River. When they arrived at the house they were advised that a male in the house has smashed some of the contents of the home and assaulted two women in the house.

A sixty three year old Goulais River man was taken into custody at the scene. He was held in police holding cells overnight and will appear in Sault Ste Marie bail court this morning. He will be charged with two counts of assault. Neither of the two victims required hospitalization or treatment for the assault.
