Investigation results in $50,000 worth of drugs seized
SUDBURY - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Sudbury Unit supported by the Halton Regional Police Service have arrested and charged a Burlington area resident along with four other people from Noelville, French River, Sudbury and Wahnapitae with several drug related offences.
The investigation focused on an individual from Burlington and Noelville who were involved in the distribution of large quantities of cocaine.
The investigation concluded with a vehicle stop on Hwy 69 and seizure of a large quantity of cocaine followed by the execution of three search warrants.
560 grams of cocaine, 1,000 ecstasy pills, a small quantity of cannabis resin and marijuana along with $2,100 cash and one vehicle was seized.
Four individuals have been held in custody pending a bail hearing while a fifth was released from custody.
The street value of the drugs seized is $50,000.

Albert Savoie, age 66, of Noelville
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking -1 count
• Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1 count
• Possession of property obtained by crime - 1 count
Walid Shaba, age 52, of Burlington
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking - 2 counts
• Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1 count
• Possession of property obtained by crime - 1 count
Liette Langevin, age 54, of Wahnapitae
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking - 1 count
• Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1 count
• Possession of a controlled substance - 1 count
• Possession of property obtained by crime - 1 count
Jamie Savoie, age 31, of French River
• Possession of a controlled substance - 1 count
• Fail to comply with bail recognizance - 1 count
Robert Chretien, age 46, of Sudbury
• Possession of a controlled substance - 1 count
