Drinking Driver Charged

(Batchewana FN, ON) – As a result of a traffic stop by a Batchewana First Nations Police Service officer at 2:40 a.m Friday morning on Gran St on the Batchewana First Nation, the driver of the vehicle was found to have been drinking. A roadside test was administered and the person failed. Breath Test results confirmed the drivers blood alcohol level to be in greater than 140 mg%. Charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of greater than 80 mg% is Dannielle ROACH age 24 of 3 Pine St Garden River First Nation.

The motoring public are reminded that anti- impaired driving initiatives are run on a daily basis by all police services in Ontario. If you see someone driving who you may think is impaired please call the police.
