Elliot Laker faces threat charges in ‘ongoing family dispute’

One person is facing charges in what Ontario Provincial Police are calling an “ongoing family dispute.”

OPP were called to Ste Camillus Crescent in Elliot Lake on Thursday.

“The complainant reported on-going disputes with a family member,” police said in a news release.

“On this date, there were numerous threats made to cause bodily harm and damage property belonging to the complainant.”

David Wade, 45, from Elliot Lake is charged with:

  • Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm (two counts)
  • Uttering Threats - damage property
  • Failure to comply with undertaking

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Wade is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
