Woman dies after being hit by cement truck on Toronto crosswalk: police

Toronto police say a woman has died after being struck by a cement truck while she was crossing the street. 

Police say the collision happened Wednesday at 12:40 p.m.

The 67-year-old woman was crossing the street near the city’s Distillery District. 

A man operating a cement truck allegedly made a right turn and struck the woman while she was in the crosswalk.

Police say the woman died from significant injuries at the scene.

Investigators are seeking witnesses and footage of the incident.
