Pedestrian dies of injuries three days after east-end Toronto crash

Toronto police say a man who was hit by a car three days ago has now died of his injuries.

Police say that around 6 a.m. Thursday in the city's east end a 61-year-old man was walking behind a car parked along the westbound curb on Doncaster Avenue near Main Street.

Investigators say another car travelling eastbound lost control and hit the parked car.

Officers say the parked car then hit the pedestrian and he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police report today that the man has now died.

They are asking any witnesses or anyone who might have security or dash camera footage from the area between 5:50 and 6 a.m. to contact traffic services.
