Ontario reports 175 new cases, 11 new deaths related to COVID-19 on Sunday

TORONTO — Ontario reported another 175 cases of COVID-19 and 11 new deaths related to the virus on Sunday.

The daily report comes after a slight uptick in new cases the previous day, when the province reported more than 200 new cases.

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 33,476, and the death toll is at 2,606.

The Ministry of Health has marked more than 85 per cent of cases as resolved.

The province was able to complete more than 23,000 tests for the novel coronavirus on Saturday.

There are currently 286 people in hospital, with 86 people in intensive care and 59 using a ventilator.
