Man found dead after fire in laundry room; homicide unit investigating

Toronto police say a man has died after a fire in the laundry room of an apartment building.

Police say they were called to a fire in midtown Toronto at about 2 a.m. on Thursday.

They say they found a man with obvious injuries.

Investigators say he was then pronounced dead.

Police say homicide detectives are on the case and seeking to identify a man last seen wearing a dark jacket with red-and-black checkered pajamas.

They're asking anyone with information to come forward.
