Man arrested in Sudbury, Ont., after allegedly spraying people with bear mace

TORONTO — A 38-year-old man has been arrested in Sudbury, Ont., after allegedly spraying three people with bear mace.

Sudbury police say they were called to a disturbance in the city on Saturday night.

When they arrived a 38-year-old man surrendered himself to officers.

The man now faces 11 charges including assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance and other weapons offences.

He is expected to appear in court today.

The victims were treated for exposure to the substance by EMS and not transported to hospital.
