KITCHENER, Ont. — Police say they've charged a 48-year-old man in Kitchener, Ont., with attempted murder.
As he was in custody, police say the man allegedly tried to disarm an officer, leading to additional charges.
Waterloo regional police say they were called to a home in Kitchener's west end on Monday morning.
They say they found a 44-year-old woman who had suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say the woman and the accused know each and that there's no concern for public safety.
The man was set to make a court appearance Tuesday.
