SARNIA, Ont. — An investigation is underway into a fatal crash in Sarnia, Ont., that followed an attempted traffic stop.
The Special Investigations Unit says the incident happened before dawn on Wednesday.
Investigators say it appears a Sarnia police officer tried to pull over a vehicle.
Instead, the vehicle left the road and the man driving was killed.
An autopsy will be done in Toronto on Friday.
The SIU has designated one subject officer and seven witness officers, and is appealing for any relevant information.
