Surrounded by family on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Beverley (nee Hodgson). Loving Grandfather of Amie Sicoly (Mike) Renee Buczel (Pat) and Great Grandfather of Annie Meawasige-Reader (Dylen), Chelsea Meawasige-Reader (Jay), Hailey Sicoly, Chloe Sicoly, Flora Buczel and River Buczel. Special Uncle to Jane "Janie" Bean, Billy-John Zarechney and Colleen Zarechney. Predeceased by his parents Tom Zarechney and Nellie (nee Praysner) and his siblings Dolores Breen and "Brother Bill" (late Erie). Dear Great Uncle of April Warren (Michael), Sara Bean, late Kyle Bean, Tommy Zarechney, Vicky Zarechney, Logan Scott and Averie Scott. Brother-in-law of the late George Hodson, late Marlyn Salvalaggio (late Lino), late Fern Della Costanza (late Earl), late James Hodgson (Donna), late John Hodgson (late Georgina), Joe Hodgson (Lorraine), late Chuck Hodgson (Cheryle), Rodney "Butch" Hodgson (Pat) and Donna Christie (late Gary). He will also be remembered by many other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 3pm. Please meet at the corner of People's Rd. and Fourth Line at 2:45 pm. Mr. George Wright officiating. Memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
