On Friday, December 27, 2024, Peter gained his angel wings and was reunited with his wife and his Lord Jesus. He is predeceased by the love of his life Marion, his infant son Peter Jr. and numerous family members, including Nana and Grampa, Nancy, Judy, Mama and Papa, and Irma. The patriarch of the family, and ever-loving dad, he will forever remain in the hearts of his family: Karen and Joe Mangone, Simon and Chrissy, Sam and Trevor; Susie and Kevin Wilson, Amanda and Yuri, and Brandon; Kelly St. Pierre and Abi. He will also be greatly missed by his brother-in-law Jerry and his wife Chris, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad’s greatest loves and accomplishments included his family, his friends, his faith, and his business…and maybe his golf game too!
Dad would tell you that the best parts of his life really began when he met and married Mom. She was without a doubt, the love of his life, so much so that it’s hard to speak of one without the other. He was ready to join her in Heaven and we are sure the angels were singing alleluias when they were reunited once again!
Mom and Dad cherished family, and Dad lived his fatherly role well! He supported and guided us, laughed and adventured with us and was there to catch us if we fell. He put up with our shenanigans growing up, having mastered getting into mischief in his own younger years! He always joked, “stay out of jail.” So we did! He was one of a kind and without a doubt, the best dad ever!
Dad was a very proud grandfather! Aptly named “Coach”, he shared love and laughter with his grandchildren. He loved to brag about their many accomplishments and ended every visit with “I love you more!” His presence in their lives will be greatly missed.
Mom and Dad were blessed with many incredible friendships. For Dad, friendship was a lifelong commitment. The bond he shared with each and every one of his friends can’t be described in simple words. You were woven into the threads of his soul and have become honorary and cherished members of our family. Your presence in his life gave him joy, purpose, and strength. We are beyond grateful for the impact you’ve had on him and on our whole family.
Dad’s faith was his foundation. He loved the Lord Jesus and was grateful for his many blessings. If only God could have improved his golf game! We sincerely appreciate the prayers and support given to Dad throughout his life, but especially during his final journey to his Heavenly Father.
Dad was a smart businessman and was very proud of the successes of the Office Supply House. He and his partner Frank were a dynamic duo! They always joked that their racquetball games determined who was CEO for the day! Some of his best days were at the office! What a gift.
It goes without saying that Dad loved golf! He bragged about his part in the construction of the London Hunt Club. His motto was “long and straight.” His favourite partner was Mom. She gave him a run for his money, but he also had many formidable opponents/friends who shared his love for the game. His greens keeping skills transferred to his own backyard where, with Mom’s green thumb, they created a peaceful oasis. When he wasn’t golfing, he loved to watch the gardens bloom, the fish swim in the pond and the birds flit about in the backyard. Just don’t “bend the blades” when you walk on the lush grass!
We are incredibly grateful for the many doctors, nurses, health practitioners and hospital staff who treated him with compassion, honesty and dignity while supporting and comforting us, especially in his final days. You were a true gift to all of us.

Dad wore many hats throughout his life - he was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a mentor, and to some, a legend and a hero. But most of all, he was loved!
