Well loved by family and friends, Brent passed away peacefully at NSHN-Blind River. Will be deeply and forever missed by his beloved wife of 28 years, Christine (nee Baranyai). Source of strength and wisdom and best dad ever of Andrew. Cherished son of Ron and Darlene Withers. Fun loving brother of Brenda Daub (Steve Schmit) and Brian Withers (Candace). Wonderful uncle of Dustin, Gerry and Jennifer Daub, Isaac Withers, Eathen and Xavier Baranyai and Cheyanne Baranyai. Bratty, yet favorite son-in law of Connie Baranyai and George Baranyai. Good friend and brother-in-law of Steven and Michael Baranyai. Will be missed by his fur babies King, Ebony and Daisy.
Brent was an incredibly devoted family man. He leaves a host of memories that his family will treasure and hold dear forever.
Brent was a remarkable person, known for his kindness and generosity. He touched the lives of so many people with genuine care and compassion, and his legacy will continue to live on through the stories and lessons he imparted to us all. He had a sharp wit and a devious sense of humour which always made us laugh.
He was a member of the Huron Shores Fire Department for well over 22 years. He received the Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal for his years of dedication. He will forever be missed by his brother and sister firefighters.
While the pain of his loss is profound, we will find solace in the beautiful moments that we shared and the impact he had on all of us.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Spadafora and her nurse Louise, Dr. Shehata, home care nurses Amy and Jessica, and the acute care doctors, nurses and PSW’s as well as the entire staff at NSHN-Blind River for the exceptional kindness and compassion shown to Brent and his family.
A celebration of Brent’s life will be held at a later date.
