Passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the age of 70 years.
Loving partner of late Charlie Pringle. Devoted mother of Cindy Pyne (Don) but cared for many children. Granny to Madison, Alesha and Jason. Loving sister of Francis Whalen (Bernice), Shirley Loubert (Florian), late Randy Whalen (Phyllis), Terry Whalen (Marilyn), Joseph Whalen (Suzanne), Cindy Maki (Donny) and JoAnn Spadafora (Frank). Predeceased by her parents Victor and Delphine Whalen (nee Grisdale). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Nancie was also known for giving nicknames to all the kids she loved most. She also loved telling her stories, if you caught her on a good day you’d be on the phone for hours.
One of her joys in life was travelling and driving taxi in various cities. A special thank you to her caregivers over the years with her business NHW Management Care.
Following Nancie's wishes, cremation has taken place, a Celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donation made payable by cheque or online to the Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
