Passed away in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Fiona Beck Williams, born October 13th, 1953, died suddenly on December 13th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and William (Scotty); by her brother, Des; and by her sister, Connie. She will be remembered with great love by her husband, Mike; by her two sons, Zach and Joseph; by her daughter-in-law, Tonya; by her sisters, Cathie and Leslie; and by her grandchildren, Cece, Max and Ashur.

Fiona was born and raised in Wawa, Ontario. After meeting Mike, Fiona lived throughout Michigan and New Mexico before settling in Plainfield Township to raise her sons, later splitting her time between Kent County and Goulais River, Ontario, on her beloved Lake Superior. She worked as an artist, particularly in watercolors, and she and Mike ran an engineering firm, Williams & Beck, Inc. She loved sketching, painting, sculpting, making jewelry, the woods, rocks, woodland plants, Lake Superior, her family and especially her grandkids. She was an excellent chef, an accomplished artist and sculptor, the world’s greatest mom and grandma, and the love of Mike’s life.

Fiona was most extraordinary in so many ways. She was the loving glue that kept the Beck and Williams families bonded together. Her smile and her laughter would light up any room. Her love and kindness were freely given to everyone she knew.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont, MI, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m., a service at 2 p.m., and a reception following the service.
