She has gone home, there is no more pain. She slipped away in her sleep.

Born Monday, August 6, 1945, in Virden, Manitoba. Merle passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the FJ Davey Home. She fought Rheumatoid Arthritis her whole life.

Daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Nichol. Sister of Cal Nichol (Carol) and grant.

Married to her beloved husband, Rodney E. Webb for over 52 years. Cherished mother of Jason Earl Charles Webb (Melanie) and Lori Anne Webb (Michael McCool). Special grandmother of Owen and Lucy Webb. Sister-in-law of Les and Shirley Johnson (Neil, Jessica), Anna and Ryder.

Merle was very involved in her community throughout her life. She was a brownie leader as well as a choir member in her church. Merle worked as a teacher for many years and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. The network of many dear friends, past students and fellow congregants she cultivated throughout the years will remember her for her warm personality, humour and hospitality.

She enjoyed travelling and being outdoors. Camping with her family and friends was one of her greatest joys.

Thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and PWS’s from FJ Davey Home, 2nd floor Cedarwood. You were second to none when it came to taking care of our lovely, long-suffering lady. You are truly angels in scrubs.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 12pm, with a service at 1pm by John and Charlene Wilson.

Memorial cheque donations made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
