WATKINS, John William

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the age of 58. John spent 25 years with his spouse, best friend and soul mate, Robin Gauvin-Watkins. Beloved step father of Jean Paul Gauvin. Loving son of Audrey Watkins. Cherished brother of Dale Watkins (Della Luzzi), Diane Merini (Mike Pontoski), Kim Watkins (Ted Diotte), Karen May (Dean St. Pierre) and Lisa May. Special brother-in-law of Elizabeth Boyko (Dennis). Dearly loved by his nephews Ryan Cartner, Dustin Hoogsteen, Denny Boyko and Jon Boyko and nieces Melissa Watkins, Jordyn Merini and Tanya Forster. He will be sadly missed by his uncle Milton Murray and cousins. He was truly loved and respected by many lifelong friends, especially Dean St. Pierre who was there to make sure John’s needs were met. John was a devoted employee for Shaw Cable for 37 years, retiring this past July 5, 2013. He was known to many as “The Cable Guy”. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre to Celebrate John’s Life on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 6 – 8 pm.  Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
