Patricia passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the age of 81. Devoted wife of the late Gary Vena for 62 years. Loving mother to Gary Paul and Jennifer (Terry). Dearest Nana to Rhys and Joshua. Predeceased by her parents Earl and Winnie Haskett. Sister to the late Joan Seccareccia (late John), late Gary Haskett (Marg), late Bobby Haskett (Lynne) and late Randy Haskett (Koren). Sister-in-law to late Dolly Nogalo (late Joe), Frankie Vena (Wendy), Wayne Vena (Colleen), and David Vena (Jennifer). Special auntie to all Haskett and Vena relatives whom she adored.

Patricia was a good wife and mother. The love she had for her two children and grandsons always shined through. Patricia had a zest for life like no other. Her love for travelling and the warm weather was second to none. She shared several fond memories of her time with the Secret Sisters, where she developed lifelong friendships.

The family extends their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Cedarwood Lodge for the care, love, and friendships they provided Patricia over the past 7 years. Special thank you to Nicki Doan and Wendy Simms for their unwavering support.  We also wanted to thank Joann Sicoly and Laurie Eby for their unconditional love and support that they gave to the family. Thank you to the  Sault Area Hospital for the care that they provided mom throughout the years.

Our beautiful Angel was granted her wings yesterday, fly high Momma.
I love you with all my heart always and forever.
Jenna and Gip.

Due to ongoing restrictions, the family has decided to plan a celebration of life for the summer, which was Patricia’s favourite time of year. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Vena family.
