It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, nonna and bisnonna on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the age of 85 years.

Dear wife of the late Arcangelo Vannelli.  Loving mother of Antonella Vannelli (Paul McDonald) and Anna Scopacasa (Nick).  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Michael Scopacasa (Tianna), Christopher Scopacasa (Chantal), Kyle Scopacasa, Brandon Deevey (Christy Beasley) and Caitlin Deevey (Ryan Allard).  She was the proud bisnonna of Olivia Deevey.  Daughter of the late Leonardo & Carmela Gildone.  Sister of the late Antonietta Venditti (late Giovannino), late Maria Vannelli (late Pasquale, late Gino Lepore), late Michelina Gildone, late Guido Gildone, Annina Di Ioia (late Michele), late Antonio Gildone (Romana),  and twin sister of the late Laura Caliso (late Gaetano).  She will be sadly missed by her neighbours and friends on Foxborough Trail.  You were all so good to her.

Giuseppina was a wonderful cook and loved to cook large meals for her family.  Making homemade pasta, gnocchi, ravioli, cannelloni, cavatelli and lasagna was her passion and will never be reproduced by her family as much as we try.  She loved to crochet and made beautiful tablecloths for everyone in her family that will be treasured forever.   Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she called them “her kids”.  She was close to each and every one of them.

Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522) on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, followed by the service at St. Gerard Majella Parish (211 Pentagon Blvd.) on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Charles Abiariri officiating. Entombment Greenwood Cemetery.  The service can be viewed online starting at 4:00 pm and can be viewed anytime up to 90 days, go to www.funeraweb.tv and select Giuseppina's name.

Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to ARCH or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the family.
