Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, March 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 74.
Lorne is survived by the love of his life of 58 years, Judy (nee Mcleod) Devoted and proud father of Monica Charlebois (Maurice), Marci Sachro (Clint), Marie Bergeron (Yvan), Melissa Deevey (Jeremy), and Michelle Blackburn (Mike). Bonus daughter/ sister-in-law Alison Brideau (Rene).
Proudest grandpa to Krystal (Tim), Brad (Patricia), Jacqueline, Paul (Ally), Vieno (Dave), late Kerttu, Erica, Jonathan, Nathan, Riley (Travis), Nicholas, Maddox, Stephanie (Pat), Chum (Jaidyn), Eric, Cory-lynne (Trevor), Cody-lee (Olivia), Logan (Jared) and Morgan. Great grandpa (Gigipa) to Joseph, Jordan, Jaxon, Jace, Luca, Lea, Leo, Esme, Eloise, Philippe, Ruben, Delilah, Charlotte, Timothy, Felix and Fisher. He will be missed by his fur baby Otis.
Proud uncle to Bill (Leona) and great uncle to Will (Michelle), Joel (Janelle), Jen (Duane) and so many more.
Lorne was always known for his hard work ethics. Days on Bass Lake he enjoyed splitting wood, pontoon boat rides, and endless hours spent on his Kubota Equipment for himself and countless others. He was known for being a constant care provider for all his children.
Special thanks to Dr. Sarah White and all the Staff on Unit 3C who cared for him with such love and person-centered care. The support shown to his family was second to none. We are so grateful.

As per his request there will be no formal funeral service rather a Celebration of Life early summer. TBD
