Surrounded by love at ARCH, Kevin passed on his terms, after a remarkable battle with brain cancer. He joins his one true love Bernadine, who has been scouting out the best shoreline campsite for them to enjoy together for eternity.

Born in 1951 to Marie and David, Kevin was fourth of 11 siblings on the farm "down the line" where he learned to love the outdoors and anything with a motor. Shortly after marriage, Kevin and Bernadine settled in their brand new home in town, where they raised their family and remained, the last of the original owners in the neighbourhood.

A jack of all trades, and a master of one, Kevin has worked in a lot of local shops as a heavy equipment mechanic and also proudly was his own boss at his store on Queen Street, where rumour has it, he was paying himself in chocolate bars when Bernadine wasn't looking. In his retirement when he wasn't arguing loudly with the characters on CNN or proudly maintaining his front lawn, Kevin could be found camping, fishing or more likely riding his bike (10,000+km every summer).

A family and friends list as long as Kevin's ensures his stories, one-liners and love of country music will live on in the hearts and memories of his kids, Shane (Lua) and Shannon (Jason); his grandkids Tylar, Avani and Masa; his siblings Sheila (Helmuth), late Norma, Linda (Orville), Brenda (late Norman), Pauline (late Leslie), Betty (Raymond), Janet (Leonard "Short"), Wanda, Rick (Paula), Jodi (Tom) and late baby Brian; his nieces and nephews Judy, Andy, Brian, Tammy, Ashley, Lisa, Dawn, Keith, late Shaun, late Arden, Paul, Jennifer, Michael, Jessica, Christine, Amy, Stephanie, Chelsea, Rebecca and Ryan; his friends Mike, Claire, Henrietta, Dave & Stacey and his neighbour Anne.

We'd like to express heartfelt gratitude to Doctors Costa-Alvez, Spadafora, Apostle, and O'Brien, Nurses Cindy and Louise and the amazing staff at ARCH for sticking it out with Kevin and the family for one last breath of fresh air.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be planned in the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ARCH ( https://www.archhospice.ca/ ) or a children's cancer charity, because Kevin won't be riding for them anymore. (Northern Ontario Families of children with Cancer ‘NOFCC’ https://nofcc.ca/ ) – both payable online or by cheque. We also know Kevin would love it if you enjoy a good meal with a great dessert in the company of your nearest and dearest, sharing laughter and memories or better yet, making new ones.
