With her heavy heart Ritva announces the sudden passing of her beloved husband, Mark, who passed on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in Kitimat, BC.
Mark worked for over 50 years in the construction industry in many areas of Canada and will be greatly missed by his colleagues.
Mark is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ritva, children Emily (Mike) and Michael, loving Pappa to grandchildren Johann, Tomas and Noah; his siblings Erik (Irma), Kaarlo (Barb), Chris (Margaret), Elena (Aaron), Kari, sister in law Kelly as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly and lovingly missed by his extended family in Finland and many dear friends. Mark is predeceased by his parents Sulo and Eini Tuomi, brother Ralph and his aunt Eila,
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.

I cried when you passed away,
I still cry today.
Although I loved you dearly,
I couldn’t make you stay.
