(July 21, 1931 – February 28, 2025)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, surrounded by the love of his family at the Sault Area Hospital. After a courageous battle with cancer, he is now reunited with the love of his life, Barbara. Cherished father of Cheryl Welton (David), Joe (Carol), Debbie Lee (Greg), Theresa Miller, Lisa Nightingale (Gary), Marnie Tucci and predeceased by Norma, Laura and baby Mary. Proud Papa of Brian Ouellette (Angel), Christine Campau (Chad), Melissa Tucci, Jennifer Tucci (Trevor), Tony Bumbacco (Andrea), Sarah Tucci, Lauren Tucci (Jordan), Megan Lee Nikoletsos (Dimitri), Erin Lee, Terri Miller, Thomas Miller, Michael Nightingale, Annie Nightingale and Robert Nightingale. Great grandfather of 16 and great great grandfather of 4. Son of the late Guiseppe and the late Pierina Tucci. Brother of Donna Donofrio (late Henry), late Primo Tucci, late Laura Erlandson (late Curt), late Guido Tucci (late Olga), late Joseph Tucci (late Naomi) and the late Carmen Tucci (Angela Roberts). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law Donna Abel (Orville Hotchkiss), Bernita Meunier (Luc) and Glenda Zappacosta (Camy). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Born and raised west end proud, kind and generous, always helping those in need. Family was always number one with Norman. He was a proud father, devoted to his family. He had a passion and pride for woodworking and was meticulous with his landscaping at camp. Dad was a loyal Yankees fan until the end. He loved to travel, especially his trips to Italy and followed the dice to many casinos near and far. Dad was a lifelong jazz enthusiast and enjoyed the music of many jazz greats. He was a hard worker and natural born leader with an impeccable work ethic. Norman was a well-known supervisor at Algoma Steel in the Marine Division, with the Yankcanuck following him throughout his career.  

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

A heartfelt thank you to doctors Jarrett, Febbraro, Shehata, Booth, Reich, Law, Bowen and our primary care nurse Kasha, the ParaMed team, Bailey and Sandra of 3C at the SAH, Sarah at Medigas, and the amazing Paramedics for the care and compassion given to our Dad.
