The family is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Joseph Michael Tregonning (little Joe). Joe Tregonning’s children, Joseph, and Bailey Tregonning, were the light of his life, he loved them with every ounce of his being, and he relished in every one of their accomplishments. Joe considered his children the biggest and best accomplishments of his life.

Joe was the loving son of Joseph (W) Tregonning and Judith Dewar, both of whom will love and miss him forever.

Joe was the loving partner of Carolyn Haner, these past several years and was always grateful to have her in his life.

Joe was the former partner and a caring co-parent of Shelley Biron, whom he continued to cherish and respect not only for the children they had together, but the memories they had made.

Joe was a caring, loving, and supportive brother to Bill (Annie), Charlene (Kurt), Sara (Guy), Jennifer (Ryan), and Harley (Jessica). Whom he was always there for with words of support and congratulations, or just to listen to when needed.

Joe had a soft spot for children and took so many into his heart especially his stepchildren Patricia, Cyndi, Kelsy, Amanda, and Shane, and he was deeply proud to be second grandpa to each of their children.

Uncle Joe will be forever remembered and cherished by Claire, Jordan, Dominic, Logan, Onyx, and Mayz, whom he always had a kind word, pat on the back or extra pickle for.

Joe had a huge heart that was open to so many, be they chosen family, aunts, uncles, cousins, or friends, all of whom will remember him warmly and miss him deeply.

Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by the community for his kind nature, his laughing smile, and his willingness to lend a helping hand or give a kind word to all.

The family would like to thank the Thessalon Detachment of the East Algoma OPP for their compassion, understanding and sensitivity throughout this tough time.

The family would also like to thank Brooke Showan at Beggs Funeral Home for her attention to detail, her compassion and for guiding us throughout this difficult ordeal.

In lieu of flowers or donations to a cause the family asks that those wishing to make a contribution in memory of Joe do so to an education fund for his children, as his biggest wish in life was to see them be able to follow their dreams.

At this time, we will not be having a gathering. The family will set the date at a later time.
