Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital with his husband by his side, on Monday January 22, 2018 at the age of 36. Loved husband of Jason McCoy. Treasured son of Rick (Pauline) and predeceased by his mother Margaret. Step brother of Joelle Callaghan (Denis), Danielle Nadeau (Peter) and Chanelle Lamarche (Max). Son-in-law of Barb and Lyle McCoy. Jake always had a special place in his heart for his second “Mom” Aunty Joey. Brother-in- law of Damian (Melinda). Grandson of Barbara Mitchell (late William), Fay Miller (late Eldon), Jean Thomas (late Boyd) and the late Rex and Mae Alexander. Uncle to Kaiden and Mckenna, Bradyn, Cordelia and Nolan. Forever remembered by his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Jake’s love for helping people saw him serve as a medic in the military, along side his career as a paramedic. He volunteered for many local organizations and played trumpet in the Royal Canadian Legion Band. He loved to go to the family camp and his “fur babies” Charlie and Maddison held a special place in his heart. A Celebration of Jake’s Life will take place at the Arthur Funeral Home – Baron & Kiteley Chapel on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11 am. Rev. Nancy Ferguson officiating.
