With sadness, we announce the passing of Harvey Swanson Sr., surrounded by the family, at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
Beloved husband of Anna Mae Swanson. Loving father of Trevor Swanson (Beth), Kimberly Swanson, the late Harvey Swanson Jr. and the late Trudy Swanson. Proud grandfather of Logan, Hector, Jeordie, Aspen, Hunter and Caleb Harvey Swanson. Beloved son of the late William and Susan Swanson. Loving brother of William Jr. (Myrtle), Joe, Dave, late Hilda, late Morris, Ida, late Herman, late Martin (Marilyn), Norman (Toni), Delores (Leonard), Stella (Arnold), and late Donald (Lena). Harvey will fondly be remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, and his fellow co-workers of the Algoma Central and Canadian National Railway, where he was employed for 42 years. Harvey will also be missed by many friends and extended family.
Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Sunday, February 21, 2021 by invitation (maximum capacity of 40 people at a time, masks and physical distancing are mandatory). A private funeral service will be held in the chapel. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
