After a year long battle on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 David Swanson of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario passed away at the age of 65.
David passed with his kids by his side. Father to David and Brittany; Partner to the late Brenda Bumbaco, Step-father to Ryan Laforest and Shawn Laforest. Step-grandfather to a bunch of wonderful grandchildren, of which he loved everyone of them dearly. Brother to Michele (Lorne), Robyn (Terry), the late Kimberly, Sandra (Dave), Bruce (late Paulette), Jennifer (Ian). Predeceased by his parents Bruce Swanson (Gail) and Frances Dorothy Smart.
David loved his children dearly. As we mourn our father we want to take time to remember the nicknames he gave us, the time spent building model airplanes, building and launching rockets and our time at Searchmont.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Sault Area Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their continual support.
