Passed away on January 7, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Loving husband of Carol for 55 years. Beloved father of Allen (Cindy), Keith and Nancy. Cherished grandpa of Eric (Cori), John (Alexa), Sarah (Kyle), Alice and Cherryl. Brother of Donna (Doug), Dennis (Wendy) and Charlie. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers.

Robert will be remembered as a very community-minded man. He was always willing to help out his friends and neighbours, whether they needed equipment repaired, barns built or a helping hand. He was a strong mentor to his coworkers spanning from Toronto to Saskatchewan. Robert was known for his love of tractors, using them for community events like tractor pulls, fairs and parades, sharing his passion with his family. He was a passionate outdoorsman, often found hunting and fishing with his dog at his side.

Special thanks to Dr. Crawford and Dr. Beller for their care throughout his life, and to all of the staff at Matthew's Memorial Hospital, especially nurses Rocky, Amy and Jessica for taking care of him in his final stages.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 11 am to 2:45 pm, with a service to follow at 3 pm, Rev. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to Matthew's Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Stobie family.
