Tom was born Fara Filiorum Petri, Italy to Nick and Antoinette Stenta. He and his family immigrated to Canada when he was 13 years old. He married the love of his life, Jeannine, in 1966 and had two children, Rob (Karen) and Tina (Graham). He was incredibly proud of his 4 grandchildren, Connor, Ben, Brooke and Lauren. Tom leaves behind his sisters, Anna (Frank) Bressan, Rita (Ugo) Lepera, and Josie (Ron) Jones. He had many wonderful nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
Tom worked at the Algoma Steel for over 40 years where he met many lifelong friends. He was a kind, gentle soul who would lend a hand to anyone who asked. His favorite thing was to make and share his homemade wine.
