On April 25, 2019 Patricia rejoined her beloved husband Henry. Her daughter Erica was at her side. She is survived by their children Jeffrey (Patricia), Christina, Brian (Judy), Erica and her grandchildren Nicholas and Joan Marie. She will be sadly missed by her close friend Fran Heath, her “adoptive daughter” Carolyn Trumble and her sister-in-law Marian Craig. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Naomi Craig (Craig's Irish Linens and Dry Goods Store on Queen Street).

Patricia was part of the first class of students to graduate from Algoma College in 1973. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in English and History all while raising four children. Patricia was the museum curator for the City of Sault Ste. Marie and 49th Field Regiment.  She was instrumental in securing and developing the museum in its present location.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Holy Trinity Church (352 Northern Avenue East) on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Claire Miller and Dean James McShane officiating. Reception to follow. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Profound thanks to the directors, staff and the community at the Mauno Kaihla Koti (Ontario Finnish Resthome) for their loving care and support of Patricia and her daughter Erica. And to the Venerable Hugh Hamilton and Dean McShane for their spiritual visits to Patricia and their loving kindness and ongoing support to her daughter Erica.

Erica also wishes to extend her deepest thanks and appreciation to her friends and neighbours especially Bill and Nancy Merrifield and Ollie Kalliojarvi.  And to members of St. Luke's Cathedral, Holy Trinity, the Christ Church Bible Study and the Canadian Red Cross.  Erica would also like to extend her gratitude to the many in home care workers from the Canadian Red Cross/Care Partners for their care and support. I couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
