It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stephen on, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario. Cherished son of Linda and the late Gary Smith. Special brother of the late Stafford Smith, Stacey Collins (John), Stephanie Maione (Steve), late Starr-Ella Smith, Stelena Nardi (Keith), Sarah Smith, late Stratton Smith, Stuart Smith (Kaila) and Stryanna Smith. Uncle of Justin, Carrie, Austen, Kirsten (Brandon), Christian (Datrie), Crawford, Karisma (Vitaliy), Zackery, Paxton, Colton, MaryAnn and Olivea (Blair), Dereck, Samantha (Joshua), Julian, Joshua and Steven, Nathan, Benjamin, Kyle, Teija and Isabella, Aedan and Hunter, Kaliyah and Tristyn. Great Uncle to Layla, Michael, Nya, Sophia, Nova, Amelia and Atticus.
With the deepest of dismay and heartache we announce the sudden death and loss of our precious Son, Brother, Uncle and Great Uncle Stephen Forrest Smith. Fearless wanderer and explorer. His poetry and ideas were inspirational. His love of the outdoors is unmatchable. His dance moves won hearts and awards. He drew, coloured and lived outside the lines. He remained tenderhearted, always looking for ways to protect and help everyone, everywhere.
He chose and lived a humble life, enjoying the richness of sunsets and simple pleasures. His coffee in one hand, a smoke in the other. Dreaming bigger dreams and envisioning His next adventure of sailing off into the sunset. Forever loved, and missed until we join you one day on the shimmering dance floor in the sky....
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Destiny Christian Centre (633 Wallace Terrace), on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. followed by an interment at Goulais River Cemetery.
