Lorraine passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the North Shore Health Network (Golden Birches) on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 73 years of age. Lorraine is survived by her children Jim Smith (Jennifer), Kevin Smith (Natalie), Nicole Dzivy (Michael) and Erika MacMillan (Doug). She shared a special love with her grandchildren Amber (Lee), Ryan, Michaela, Carlie, Jessica, Jordan, Will, Matthew, Thomas and Sydney and great grandchild Blake. She will be remembered fondly by all of her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Lucien "Lou" Monette and Florence “Flo” Monette (Ross) and is a big sister to Ray Monette. Lorraine was married to John Q. Smith for many years and they remained great friends.
Lorraine suffered from a rare disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
Lorraine’s beautiful, warm smile will be missed but her kind spirit lives on with us all.
A celebration of life will take place on November 5, 2018 at the Blind River Marina from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. The family is hosting come and go reception.
