Passed peacefully at home on Thursday, June 11, 2020 surrounded by family at the age of 95.
Devoted husband of the late Phyllis Doreen Smith (nee McCarrel) for 52 years. Loving father of Patricia Defend (Tony), Karen Theberge (Roger), the late Warren Smith (Tracey) and Randy Smith (Nancy). Proud Grandpa of Danielle Defend, Rick Defend, Holley Husk (Mike), Mandy Fowler (Paul), Joshua Theberge (Alicia), Trisha Carriere (Jessie), Steven Smith (Emily), Bryan Smith, Nicholas Smith, Jana Shaule (Jakob), Ashley MacIsaac (Jeremy), Allison Halford, Jacob Halford and Liam Smith. GGPA of 17. Reunited with our superhero Kayge (Dynamite), beloved wife Phyllis and son Warren. Dear brother of the late William (Lu), late Dolly Isham (late Pete), late Frank (late Pauline), late Cherry Michaud (late Wilfred) and late Isabel. Donald will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Donald was very proud of having served in World War II.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at the Sylvan Valley Cemetery with Mr. Gerald Fowler officiating.
