It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bert at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 88. Adored husband of the late Rosemarie (nee Bellerose). Loving father of Tim, Jan Soltys, Brent, Sue (Tony Cizinoski), and Keith (Brad Taylor). Devoted grandfather of Craig, Justin (Katelin), and Brittany Soltys (Matt Baic), as well as Courtney (Lucas Turpin), Drake, and Madison Cizinoski. Proud great grandfather of Cora and Brynlea Soltys. Cherished brother of Joan, Fern, Karen, David (Brenda), and Bonnie. Bert had a special bond with his brother-in-law Donald Bellerose, his niece Dawn, and his nephews Mike (Terry) and Darrin. He held dear memories of times spent with other nieces and nephews. Special mention to his friends from Pinecrest with whom he so enjoyed spending time: Todd & Kathleen McLean, Gus & Moira Thibault, and Teresa & Kevin Valley. Special friend, also, to Ron Soltys.
Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at Sault Area Hospital for their professionalism and for making dad comfortable in his final days. Bert enjoyed the many years he was employed by PUC.
