SILVA, Harold Raymond

(R.C.N.V.R. World War II) - Formerly of Whitefish Falls, after
a lengthy illness at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday September 17, 2005; born
August 10, 1914 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his wife Betty and daughters
Nancy and Maryann. Sadly mourned by daughters Terry Agnew (husband Jim) of Sault
Ste. Marie and Kimberley Nelson (husband Brian) of Ottawa. Also sadly missed by
grandchildren Matthew and Patrick Agnew and Emily and Laura Nelson. Brother of the
late Charles. Harold was a veteran of the North Atlantic naval campaign and after
V.E. day served in the North Pacific. He was boat captain and Conservation Officer
for Ontario Department of Lands and Forests (subsequently the Ministry of Natural
Resources). He worked out of Espanola and Little Current until his retirement in
1979 when he moved to Sault Ste. Marie. At the request of the family there is no
visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations made to the
Sault Area Hospital Complex Continuing Care or to the charity of your choice would
be appreciated. Special thanks to Anita Agnew and June Williamson for their love
and support. The family deeply appreciates the dedication and care provided by the
Sault Area Hospital Complex Continuing Care staff and by Dr. Cziffer and Dr. Mathur.
