SCOTT, Nancie Ann (nee Buchan) – With broken hearts, we are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Nancie at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the age of 61. Beloved wife and best friend of Jim. Cherished mother of Gary (Alyssa), Tabatha (André) and Ryan (Caitlin). Proud grandmother of Alexis, Jackson, Ava, Alexandre, Nicolas, Jenna, Brooklyn and Emily. Predeceased by her parents Donna and James Buchan. Sister of Tom (Sue), Jimmie, late Kevin and Paula (Paul). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Nancie was one of a kind, an earth angel. There are so many words that define this remarkable lady but one of her very good friends summed it up as “Nancie was love in its sweetest form”. She shared that sweetness through her job as a Paramedic and her life as a wife, mother, grandmother, best friend and family matriarch. Nancie had been battling that nasty C word for the last 2+ years. This was her second battle with a 12-year remission. The fight was a good one with a vast team of medical experts. Despite all efforts the end came sudden and way sooner than expected.

At Nancie’s request a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to Tracy’s Dream or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).

As Family, our rock has been shaken, our world turned upside down and our hearts are all hurting. Goodbye my wife, mother, grandmother and best friend… we got this, RIP. We will miss and love you forever and a day.
