It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Josephine Sarlo in her 97th year. She passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Extendicare Van Daele Nursing Home on September 23, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Attilio (Tillie) Sarlo. Daughter of the late Joseph and Lucia Della Savia. Daughter-in-law of the late Francesco and Concetta Sarlo. Cherished mom of Ron (Mary), and Alan (Friend Marilyn). Loving and proud grandmother (Nona) of Michael (Jodi), Paul (Kelly) and Lori (Derek). Loving great grandmother (Nona) of Nicklas, Daniel and Ema-Leigh. Sister of Emma Seccariccia (late Frank). Sister-in-law of Lois Della Savia (late Lido) and the late Marion Desimone (Joe) (late Albert Sarlo). Predeceased by brother Bruno Della Savia (Bev), Sister Velia-Fifi Seccariccia (Guerrino-Howie), Brother-in-law Guido-Dolly Sarlo (Shirley). Sister-in-law of Mary Greco (Tony), Eva Girardi (Delchi-Red) and Lorraine Bruno (Ernie). She is survived by many special and loving nieces and nephews. In Keeping with the current restrictions because of the covid virus there will be no visitation. A private family gathering has been held at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. - 705-759-2522) with a graveside service. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions by cheque to ARCH or the Van Daele Nursing Home Residence Council would be appreciated.
