August 10, 1940 – February 12, 2023

Peacefully with family by her side at Algoma Manor. Beloved wife of Ed Ryyppo of 40 years. Loving mother of Dean Ettinger (Cathy), Leslie Barkhouse (Debbie), Cheryl Morrow (Dave), Kim Badgero (Gord), Greg Ryyppo (Rhonda), Ellen Blackstock (Tim), Don Ryyppo (Tanya) and Marci Ryyppo. Marma of many grand and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by siblings Bernard, Judy, Bonnie, Verda, Barbara and Dianne. Predeceased by her parents Ira and Ivy Cavanaugh and siblings Shirly, Allison, Linda and Jimmy.

Olive was involved with and volunteered in many community organizations, and she also babysat many children in Bruce Mines over the years.  Mom was known to show up at the Bruce Station Hall dances every year on Mother’s Day with flowers for the women and on Father’s Day with tomato plants for the men, in memory of her Mother and Father.  Mom was famous for her pies at the Cloudslee Church Dinners.   She was known as “Marma” to many.  She was loved by anyone who knew her.

The family would like to thank the Algoma Manor Staff for their caring support for Moms final days and a special thanks to Brooke at Beggs Funeral Home for assisting with final arrangements.

Donations would be appreciated by the family and can be made to the Alzheimer Society online at www.alzheimer.ca

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date in Bruce Mines.
