Peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the age of 63.

Cherished husband of Karen Ross. Loving father of Amanda Ross (Chris Gramola) and Cody Ross. Extremely proud and adoring Grandpa of Axel-Gray, Steele and Zephyr. Son of Marie and the late Mervin Ross. Brother of Diana Madill (Larry) and Susan Maltez (Albino). Brother-in-law of Debbie Gibbins (Simon Walker) and Robert Hill. Son-in-law of Marlene Bourck (late Jules Bourck) (late Robert Hill). Butch will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Butch was a man of hard work simple pleasures - a car race or hockey game on the tv, or a garage coffee with friends. He was extremely proud  and boastful of his children's achievements, talents, and accomplishments, and revelled joyfully in daily stories of his beloved grandboys.

He was passionate about his career as a welder/fabricator; he was a mentor and teacher of many throughout his career, and was very proud of his apprentices.

Butch was a 'legend' at the sawmill and around many of the industrial shops, 'allegedly the best fabricator ever known', and would have felt so humbled to be recognized as such. 'His welds were so intricate and precise it looked like a  machine did it.' He could sketch out someone's idea and bring it to life in steel.

Lifelong and deeply loved friend of Carlo Vernelli, Jerry Artuso, Chad Artuso, Scott Howard and John Pinder. Also predeceased by his friends Neil Turner, Bruce Deans, Tom Jackson, Mike Parsons and Al Rancourt.

Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to reminisce, grieve, chat and, of course, have a coffee on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 12 pm until 4pm at Victoria Presbyterian Church, 766 Carpin Beach Rd.

We wish to express our gratitude to SSM EMS, Sgt. McLeod, and Constable Paquette for their kindness and compassion.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made in trust towards his grandchildren's education.
Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street E. 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Ross family.

                                                         Time waits for no man.
