(1938-2023)  Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital surrounded by family and his soulmate of 63 years, Alma Robinson (nee Harris). Beloved father of Michael (Carolle) and Leslie. Gentle, kind, loving and wise grandpa of Eric (Breanne), Ian (Natasha), Nicole (Thomas Beaton), Phylicia (Daniel Twentyman) and Olivia (Alec Pachereva) and proud great grandpa of Wyatt and additionally a great grandson and great granddaughter due next month. Eldest brother of James (Mary-Anne), late Sharon Muncaster (Cary), Robert (Patt), Diane Le Blanc (Lloyd), Susan MacMaster (Robert) and Janet Ann Wilton (Gary). Brother-in-law of the late Lorna Harris (Edie Brown), David Jones (Corrine) and Rick Jones, (Dina and late Kim). Son-in-law of the late Mamie and Leslie Jones (late Manford Harris).

Jack was born in Sault Ste. Marie to the late Mary and Richard Robinson. In his youth he attended the Tech and was active in Sea Cadets and Central United Church Young People's Group where he met his “lovey” Alma. After raising their family, they travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe and Africa. He retired as a well-respected Algoma Steel supervisor. Jack and Alma volunteered countless hours along with their closest friends, Barb and Doug Overman at Central United Church. He especially loved cooking for large groups whether for family, at hunting and fishing camp, at church or at their Winter Texan resort.

Special thanks to Drs. Bishop, Barry, Buehner for their care and also to nurses Colleen, Sandy and Jenna on 3B who were so kind, helpful and understanding.

As per Jack’s wishes a private service will be held. Memorial donations in honour of Jack can be made to the charity of your choice, payable by cheque or online. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home  - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).
